my friend, kristal, bought me this awesome book titled, Real Food for Dogs: 50 Vet-Approved Recipes to Please the Canine Gastronome, by Arden Moore, when i first brought Bruno home. this afternoon, i made “dog biscuits baked with love.”
- 2 cups unbleached wheat flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- pinch of salt
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
Directions: Mix the flour, cornmeal, and salt in one bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg with the oil, parsley, and chicken broth. Add to the flour mixture and mix until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough and roll out into 1/2 inch thickness. Use cookie cutters to cute the dough into shapes. Bake for 15 minutes @ 400 degrees.
Doggy bones and paws surrounded by an army of teddy bears, elephants, and giraffes.
